In a celebration of empowerment and resilience, Jackets for Jobs is proud to announce its partnership with Smart & Sexy® for the seventh consecutive year, in honor of Women’s History Month. Scheduled for Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Northwest Activities Center in Detroit, Michigan, this collaborative event aims to uplift and equip women with the tools they need for sustainable employment.

Founded in 2000, Jackets for Jobs has been a beacon of hope in the community, providing professional attire and career development resources to nearly 40,000 women in need. With a mission to promote confidence and self-esteem, the organization strives to empower women from all walks of life. Teaming up with Smart & Sexy® aligns perfectly with this goal, as they work together to amplify the message of "Maximum Uplift."

Smart & Sexy® Day in Detroit offers attendees a wealth of resources to navigate the workforce, including personal and professional image development and individual support. Invitations are extended to select women seeking employment through Detroit at Work, with a focus on enabling them to seek and secure employment while enhancing their quality of life.

One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity for women to be fitted for and receive bras and foundation garments from Smart & Sexy®, a leading lingerie company dedicated to providing fashionably sexy lingerie that offers figure solutions at great prices. This collaboration not only helps women look good but also feel good about themselves as they pursue their professional goals.

Moreover, attendees will have the privilege of hearing from three keynote speakers who will address various aspects of personal and professional well-being. From makeup and skincare tips to self-care and financial literacy, these speakers will provide valuable insights to empower women on their journey to success.

Terri King of Face The Throne, a MAC celebrity makeup artist, will share tips on simplifying morning makeup routines. Natasha Anée Sansom of Consulting by Anée, LLC, will discuss managing self-care and wellness while balancing life and work demands. Stephanie Vaught of Social Money Finance will delve into financial literacy and wealth-building strategies for those on a fixed income.
