Dear Dr. Sabrina
I need some objective advice. I am a spiritual person who believes and practices things that are shunned by my Christian Family and friends. They say that I am going to hell because I burn sage, have an ancestor alter and burn candles. Now, the fact that I practice these activities DO NOT mean that I do not believe in Christ. In fact I am a believer in the Trinity (God- Jesus- The Holy Spirit)
I was raised in the Baptist church and still attend services. I have a sister who is married to a Pastor and is very demeaning about things I choose to do in my home. I love my sister and never disrespect her life choices. I feel so dismissed and hate it.
My dilemma is my family are coming in town for Mother’s Day and my sister is staying with me. I do not want to argue or have her feel uncomfortable. So, should I remove my alter, not burn my candles, and remove my crystals?
Perplexed Sister
