Safe harbor Detroit River Marina is one of the most sought out marina in the metro Detroit area, so much so there’s a long waiting list to get in. Safe Harbor is known for its beautiful spacious environment, friendly people, grate entertainment and good food. One of the many things that people love about safe harbor is the beautiful pool and hot tub that families love to come and enjoy a day out in the sun.

Boat life here is the place to be, from the korokke nights to the live bands, and the delicious drinks at the Tiki bar will keep you refreshed and, on your feet, but it’s even more than that, the purpose is to bring people together, to get to know one of another, mingle with family, build and do it all again next year.

On Fridays and Sundays, you can count on some tastiest meals made by Iesha Morgan from 300 DOC, she cooks for about 150 people twice a week, and when I say cook, I mean cook, lamb chops, ribs, briskets and everything in between, when word gets out people from all over come to eat.

While planning this extravaganza, it was brought to our attention, the loss of Iesha Morgan Son, (Preston Morgan). A Mother to many she has been. With heavy hearts and open arms her boat family came together to show her how much she is loved and appreciated in this time of need.

After speaking to some of quest, it was clear why the people love it here. Detroit has a large group of boater families, black boaters’ groups including, Boat Life, and the Black Women Boaters Club (BWBC) all come together to form a family community, and that’s what keeps this place thriving.
